Escos Fire & Safety
provides fire protection and safety services to businesses, organizations, individuals on landside facilities and marine vessels.
Most buildings and commercial vehicles require an annual inspection of their fire and life-safety equipment to be conducted by a certified company in order be compliant. Typically during these inspections there will be equipment due for routine servicing. For example, fire extinguishers must be pulled and serviced every 6 years. Extinguishers and other gaseous cylinders must be hydrostatic tested every 6-12 years.
As a full service company, we supply hazard analysis, surveys, testing, inspections and certifications, as well as systems design, installation and maintenance. Our service offering includes servicing and certifying Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), fixed & portable gas detection meters/systems, as well as full service IMO immersion suit testing, repair, and certification.
We have a team of certified professionals who are trained and experienced in fire safety and can provide customized solutions based on the specific needs of each client.

DOT-Approved Hydrotesting:
A “hydro test” is an approved way to test the structural integrity of a compressed gas container and is required by the Department of Transportation as well as other international regulatory agencies.
It is performed by removing the valve, filling the container with water, and then pressuring the container above its operating limit. The expansion of the cylinder is measured, recorded, and analyzed. If cylinder expands beyond certain limits, the cylinder must be condemned.
Our meticulous process involves de-valving cylinders for a thorough visual inspection of both interior and exterior walls.
Our skilled personnel then perform a hydrostatic test, ensuring the cylinder qualifies to uphold the manufacturer's pressurization requirements and maintain its structural integrity.
Upon completion of testing, we stamp our Re-qualifier's Identification Number (RIN) into the cylinder. This mandatory qualification typically remains valid for five years from the test date, in adherence to DOT cylinder classification standards.
Regular testing of cylinders across diverse applications is crucial to guarantee their safe pressure holding capabilities.
